It's like with women. Cuts fast and hard.

I used 40 grit to remove mill scale from sheet steel. I've spent over 3 hours on one disc and it shows little wear. Even after this time, the grain remains sharp. You'd better have a good grinder because the aggressiveness of the disc puts a lot of strain on the motor. Mill scale is hard to cut through with every hard drive I've tried, I'll consider this a base disc for cleaning metal, rust or welds.
