We have frames over our gardens so we can put a shade net on the sides with an elastic ball to protect the plants. Sometimes in high winds the edge of the net detaches from the net so we had to pull it together and hold it in that position. I inserted a heavy metal wire into the hole and connected the pieces with this tape and everything looked fine... within a few weeks, after that short time the tape just became brittle and wouldn't stick to itself so it was only time - and waste of money. I've had some luck with 3M All Weather Duct Tape, 1.88 inches at 30 yards, 2230-HD, and it also worked on some tarps I had in place of winter firewood. I've run out and will be buying more than will use again for anything outdoors and/or exposed to the sun. it might be great for other things, but that's not why I bought it, which is why it fails on pass/fail.
