I'd planned to review this pillow like others, over the course of a few nights, with and without the insert. The pillow didn't last one full night on my bed, though. Partially, this is just due to me and how I sleep.The pillow itself is quite nice, nicely packaged and looks quite good. Given I tend to sleep on my side, I was wondering how this would do for me. In short, it didn't.I was going to try the first night without the foam insert, the next night with. Here's what I ran into:1. I'm fairly big, at 6'1". The pillow on its own felt far too thin for me to get comfortable - I had to stick a pillow in underneath it for it to get to a comfortable height. Which is doable - I could probably fit one in and secure it, zipping it up in its cover if this were the only issue.2. More of a "me" issue - I sleep fairly high on the bed (close to the headboard.) Doesn't matter the bed, with or without any sort of cover, I sleep high on the bed. This is either stiff enough to push back or to curl over the top of my head, which isn't particularly comfortable. Again, a me issue, but if you do this too, something to possibly be aware of.3. The worst for me though is this - I wrote in another pillow review (of "cooling" memory foam pillows) that my head doesn't tend to get warm at night. With this? It definitely does. This thing's a great insulator. I woke up at least once an hour to readjust and cool off, just tossing this out of the way and getting my regular pillow back at a very warm (on the pillow) 1 AM or so. The rest of the night on a regular pillow was solid, comfortable sleep by comparison.Maybe it's different with the insert they have, but I'm not really willing to risk another night of hot, interrupted sleep with it. This one's just not for me.
