Review on ASUS VE247H Gaming Monitor 1920X1080 Backlit 23.6-inch, 76Hz, by Sam Aaronson

This monitor was the best deal, I looked at eBay, Revain and Revain for free and didn't charge a recycling fee or tax for e-waste. I would give this monitor 5 stars if it didn't have this one drawback: if you look at the screen from the bottom up, if you look at the screen directly from the front (angle of 90+ degrees) you can notice that the screen gets darker. The farther the screen is from your face, the darker it gets. It's not noticeable unless the picture is dark and not very noticeable unless you're moving, but if it had a better vertical viewing angle, dark pictures would be brighter, so I can't give it 5 stars. However, when you look down at the screen, the picture is nice and bright. Just make sure you can place this monitor in a spot where it doesn't overhang your face. As someone else said, this issue is standard on most monitors in this price range and other than that very minor issue I highly recommend buying this model for gaming and everything else. Starcraft 2 and Warcraft: Cataclysm look great on my ATI HD 5870!
