RE update of March discount on this product: My claim was rejected as "illegible" because I submitted a regular Revain invoice. They insist that the "Final Order Details" invoice is retrieved via the "PRINT" button on another invoice, even though this is not stated in the discount terms. I bought it in late 2016 when I was in college, like the previous monitor, before it literally exploded (I found that out when Vista came out. The side-mounted 4-port USB hub was great), and have since he mean since then mainly. survived several moves with excellent image quality. With 60Hz at native resolution you can get 76Hz at 1600x1200 I think, but no downsampling is required for a slightly higher refresh rate.

I find the monitor technology quite stable. There is not much difference from one monitor to another. However, it has a few nice features. * It's pretty bright by default. I bought one of these and another without speakers (VS247H). I use this to do double duty. Sometimes this is my 3rd laptop monitor via VGA. Other times I use it as a TV screen connected to my HD cable (FiOS) via HDMI. It is always connected to both and input selection is done with a simple push of a button. For the price I think it's a good deal. My biggest complaint is that there are no instructions for how to do this. There are some buttons on the bottom side of the screen but I can't figure out how to use them. I can view the menu screens, but I cannot navigate through the menus. The only manuals that came with it were quick start pages about 2x3 feet. Very simple instructions in ridiculously small print. I needed to have a second monitor for work purposes. I only use it for spreadsheets and such. So ok for this purpose. However, compared to my old monitor, it's gone. The picture quality on my old monitor is stunning. But it's an old adage, you get what you pay for. So for the price and usage I'm a happy customer.
