Review on ACDelco GM Original Equipment 213-4777 Engine Coolant Temperature Sensor: Reliable Performance & Accurate Readings by David Jones

Genuine AC Delco part. Fixed check engine light code P0119. The part was $20 less than what was needed for it. One caveat: this part is in a hard-to-reach location (very little space left of the dipstick) on the 3.6 engine of the Traverse/Acadia/Enclave family of SUVs. Only those who have a lot of patience should dare to attempt this repair. There is a bracket on the wiring harness that is very difficult to remove without damaging it. Check out the YouTube video if you're on the fence. All is not lost if you break the red clip on the pendant. The red clip is the secondary latch and still makes an audible click and snaps into place without the red clip on the sensor. Based on the position on the motor I think it's unlikely that anything will cause it to come loose.
