Review on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Efficiently Control Dust with JET JW1142, 4-Inch Aluminum Blast Gate by Scott Snyder

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Are you tired of cleaning blast gates or repositioning gates, GET THIS and problem solved!

They have an open bottom (see photo) and do not need to be cleaned. They are very durable and near perfect. Unfortunately, no instructions are included with the gate, but there are a few important points when installing these gates: First, the gate can lock the gate in the open or closed position. If you want it to slide like a plastic gate, adjust the handle to slide briefly over the slider. This keeps the gate open or closed and you don't have to open or tighten the handle every time. Note that the knob will not hold your setting, but I put a drop of blue (semi-permanent) locktite on the threads. In this case, the knob retains the setting and can be readjusted if necessary. The mounting flanges for the hose connectors are fairly short, but if you use good quality clamps and push them all the way in, they will hold up well. If you want the flaps to be airtight when the flaps are closed, install the flaps with the locking knob facing your machine/away from the dustbin as shown. This causes the handle to push the damper towards the dust collector and the damper forms an airtight seal. quite wide and the handle creates a gap on that side of the gate. Finally I sprayed some dry lubricant on my gate, it makes it very light and stays perfectly open or closed.
