Nothing beats the standard Wave Rider 22 shoe

I've had about 10 pairs of standard Wave Rider 22 shoes (not knitted) and I really like these shoes. I've been running exclusively on the Mizuno Wave Rider series for 15 years now. Thought I'd try the knitted version of the Wave Rider 22 and found it completely different. The Standard Wave Rider 22 provides great support and keeps my foot on the shoe's sockliner as I run. In the knitted version, my foot tends to move, which I believe is caused by the shoe's more flexible upper. Another issue is that the top of the heel has more ribbing which caused blisters on my Achilles tendon. So if you like the standard Wave Rider 22, you may not like the Wave Rider 22 Knit.

Pros
  • Wave Knit for support and flexibility. Your foot stretches when you run, and so do your shoes.
Cons
  • Frequency
