I bought one of these and was immediately so happy that there is a compact and rechargeable headlamp. I had three in total. The first woke up after a few months of casual use. The second was bad upon arrival and the third could finally live to be a year old with occasional use. I replaced one under warranty and saw it break again after a few months. I've kept them dry for the most part and they haven't been beaten up, but for some reason they all go bad pretty quickly and just stop working and start flashing red, rendering them useless. There are many other more massive rechargeable lamps out there, but the search for a compact lamp continues. Stay away and I'm definitely done with the black diamond.
