This motor controller is very easy to set up thanks to the screw terminals and easy to use thanks to the minimalist user interface. Output indicated by a green LED above. It's easier compared to more buttons. There is a solder connection for an optional external on/off switch that can be connected to a momentary switch which appeared to short out the output. I liked that it can be used immediately without having to do any settings, the frequency was set to 20 kHz. Long press the rotary switch puts it into setting mode where you can set the duty cycle lo/hi along with the frequency. In settings mode, a short press will toggle between 3 settings and a long press will remove them from the settings. see related video. Once the duty cycle limits are set, turning the dial will not cause the duty cycle to go under or over the limits. The PWM output looked very clean with no noticeable spikes or jitter. The soft start function is good too, watch the attached video as it slowly increases the duty cycle to the set value. A small drill worked up to 16% silently. There was no noticeable heating of the components after 10 minutes running on the motor and one hour on a 50cm (1.5A) LED strip. change over a wide range. All in all a great buy for driving heavily loaded motors and fans.
