Not the best weather protection in string lights
This is a very pretty cord and probably works well indoors. However, the built-in switch that controls the blinking and switching of the light is located in a small box in the wiring a couple of feet from the built-in transformer/plug. After the first downpour it stopped. I cut the wires and took the switch out of the circuit and it worked again, but to turn it on and off I had to unplug it or put another switch in the circuit. The information says it's fine for outdoor use, but if you intend to use it outdoors you'll need to protect the control switch from the elements.
