I bought this as I play catcher and infield in a coed softball league and had taken a foul tip to the face. I was happy when it arrived as it fit me, a 25 year old averaged sized female, fairly well. The padding is harder but after some adjustment and breaking in it is comfortable though slightly wide on my face. A few months after beginning to wear it I can say it passed a live test when I took a hard ball to the face at second base. The mask held up with no damage or injury to me and leaving me unscathed.
