Overall, the stand only took about 45 minutes to assemble (including the addition of acoustic foam since I had it installed in my living room). The foam might not have been significant, but the 10GB switch (Netgear) could get noisy, so I was cautious. With the UPS rack mounted below, the unit is fairly self contained and looks MUCH better than the desk it used to sit on. Depending on the configuration of the rack and any shelves, it can get very cramped and cramped for working. Nothing you wouldn't expect, but if you're like me you'll feel your age by the time you're done.
