I've worn Wave Riders for years as a recreational runner (5k-1/2 marathon) - actually I've completed 4 full runs but that seems to be the past. I took a break from them to try the more "minimalist" zero drop shoes (Altra, NB) and then finally decided to go back to the Wave Rider to see how they feel (again). This knitted pair was on sale so I gave it a try. They're about as comfortable as I remember the Wave Rider and I got to grips with them in just a few weeks. I've run a few 5-6 mile races and even 8 mile races. All is well. I don't know what the benefits of knitting are supposed to be, but I definitely don't see or feel any harm. I love the Wave Rider and am back on board.
