The ladder got to me on time and early in the day. The box was in good condition. I picked it up and realized it was heavy. I unpacked it and found that everything is fine. After removing all packaging from the fully assembled ladder, I opened up the legs and attached them. It's a bit tight, but after a few jobs it should loosen up. I closed it and the latch to release the locking mechanism is a bit finicky. Finally closed, I moved it to an overhead light that needed a bulb change. I noticed again that the ladder was heavy. I think it will be very difficult for my wife to move that, and my elderly parents will not be able to do it at all. Anyway, I changed the lightbulb on the ceiling and I really like the trays on top, everything is holding up well. I also noticed that the ladder is very durable. It would be better if it was that hard. I went down the stairs, closed the ladder and squeezed my fingers a little between the frames. So keep an eye on it every time you close it. Then I dragged the heavy metal ladder to a new location in our house. I looked at the hooks I had attached to hold it on the wall. You wouldn't be strong enough to hold this beast. That being said, yes it's a very heavy ladder, especially for a basic ladder, and if you're having trouble lifting things, you're going to have trouble with this ladder. If you can move heavy objects around the house, I recommend this item to my family, friends and everyone reading this review. If you have trouble lifting things that are too heavy, stay away from this product. Revain sells these, which cost a few dollars more but are made out of aluminum and are much lighter.
