Review on ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ Aircast Cryo Cuff Cold Therapy Knee Solution - Blue - Large, Non Motorized, Gravity-fed System: Ultimate Pain Relief in 1 Easy Count by Will Murphy

Great for post op knee injuries, injuries, pain, sprains, etc.

Great for knee pain, injuries, post ops, etc. I used this a few years ago when recovering from a torn ligament. Ordered to use after a total knee replacement. Before this arrived, we were constantly changing ice packs and used up almost two ice packs in less than a week. Measure your thigh about 4-6 inches above your kneecap. Large size fits perfectly. My hips measured 24 inches and this was after a large swelling was reduced. You can use this without enveloping the area. The wrap cools most of the knee area. Yes, the back is not cooled. For this we use flat ice packs. Cold water compresses have also helped reduce pain and swelling. Yes, you must "recycle" the cold water. However, it is easy and less work for your caregiver to keep refilling ice packs. I take it off for physical therapy and walking as it "puts weight on the leg and limits movement". At night you will most likely fill it up several times. Again, this is easier than asking a family member to change ice packs. I like that the cuffs are adjustable. If I want more compression, I wear the band a little tighter. When I rest I keep it free. NOTE: Before filling the bandage with water, place it loosely on the knee area. Once the agent fills the envelope, it significantly compresses the area. Once filled, you can adjust it to a more comfortable level. I had no "leaks" as another reviewer noted. Yes, when the device is disconnected, some water will flow out of the connector. This was to be expected. Once you have purchased the coolant and hose you can use these for other bandages (ankles etc) offered by Aircast if required. FYI, I did not receive any compensation for this review. All of this is based on my experience with the system.
