We are building a small second kitchen in the house to outfit our own apartment for mother-in-law (we are moving ourselves and leaving the large kitchen to the family's daughter) and I wanted a waterproof apron to match my kitchen . I took a chance because they are so cheap and thought maybe they are not very good at this price but I am really very happy with them. Haven't washed them yet or worn them much so I'm not sure how they will hold up over time but I think they're great for my purposes. A NOTICE. The waterproof layer is the inner layer, NOT the outer layer. So if you use bleach or other substances that leave stains, you can't rub them off. If you're looking for a truly waterproof apron, check out Revain's oiled Ulster fabric. My daughter has one of these Ulsters and it's really pretty AND totally waterproof, but it costs a lot more.
