I didn't have a Koyo but it works

I have successfully installed this radiator. I have a feeling it will work fine, but I just installed it yesterday. I read that TYC radiators were simply rebranded as Koyo radiators and came in a Koyo box. This was not my experience. The box said TYC and nowhere Koyo. I also had a small issue with the screw holes not matching up perfectly. Screwing in the screws required some effort. I've found this to be doable by moving the heatsink back from its mounting point about half an inch and then starting to tighten the screws. Do this on all four holes, then tighten once you've started all four. At least it worked for me. YMMV. When the bolt holes didn't align properly I figured I could just remove the radiator brackets from the stock radiator and use them with the new radiator to see if the old brackets would line up better with the bolt holes. However, this is not possible as the brackets on the sides of a TYC radiator are connected differently than the brackets on a standard radiator so you cannot swap them out. I also didn't use the built-in transmission cooler on the radiator, opting instead to fit an external transmission cooler from B&M. That way the two systems are completely separate and I don't have to worry about the "pink milkshake". In general I was satisfied with the product. After installation everything works fine. If you're just changing the heatsink, it really isn't that hard. Tip: While not necessary, I found that removing the passenger headlight on my 2002 4runner made accessing the lower passenger side radiator mounting bolt a little easier.
