Review on Yokohama Geolandar A/T G015 215/65 R16 98H all season by Micha Pyra ᠌

Revainrating 4 out of 5

I am satisfied with everything, both price and quality, I advise you to buy.

My size is 225/60/18, Honda cr-v 3rd generation. I took rubber, so as not to be afraid sometimes to go to dry soils. In general, I am satisfied - dry gravel, shallow sand, roots - rubber behaves adequately everywhere. Compared to the michelin latitude sport highway, it has become noticeably noisier, in asphalt turns the car starts to swim away to the outer radius earlier, but predictably - without unexpected breakdowns. What floats away is obvious, after all, not a highway. The actual tread width is about 180mm, that is, it is straight narrow - in fact, the wheels ride in one middle part. Probably because of this, they don’t feel the rut. On the pavement, there is a very noticeable noise compared to the highway - michelin allowed you to comfortably ride 160, but you don’t want to drive more than 120 on these. Plus heartbeat (see ate at the end, it's gone). By the way, the wheels were balanced within 30 grams, that is, normally. But visually - it's still crooked, and a little knocked out. I hope the problem will be solved after rolling and re-balancing. My country of origin is Thailand, 6-7 months of 2022. - ate after a while! The tires were crooked after purchase, apparently due to very improper storage. After a couple of hundred kilometers, they leveled off, but because of this, balancing on all wheels was greatly lost. Re-balancing showed very sane weights on 3 out of 4 wheels. I had to wrestle with the 4th wheel - they twisted it, spun it, optimized it, barely achieved a sane number of weights. But now the wheels go smoothly, they don’t hit at speed, everything is fine. On balancing I saw that they are now visually even.

Pros
  • Soft passage of joints, they confidently drive along dry dirt roads, up to 100 they don’t make much noise. The wheel is not felt.
Cons
  • Curves - when they were balancing, I was already scared, purely visually curves. Although the tire fitter said that this is normal, it's not scary. Like, not a highway. After rolling, a slight beating appeared at 110+, and it is felt in turns. I'm going back for balancing. They feel the change of asphalt - on one they make a lot of noise, on the other they don't make any noise at all. ate after 6 months! Tires are aligned after rolling, see comment. Narrow track contact with coating (180 mm with a tire width of 225 mm!)

Has some pros: Low price compared to similar tires. Has cons: Large weight compared to competitors
