Great switches, just drill a hole - it may be necessary to file the hole a bit where the tabs are, but don't over do it or the switch may be loose. If you have a looseness problem a dab of 5 minute epoxy will keep it steady. Like someone commented, the led light needs to be connected to the negative/ground terminal, it may be too bright, my fix was a 1000 ohm 5 watt resistor. I was cautious to buy these seeing the reviewer that took his apart showing an incandescent bulb inside. I have a switch like that and they get hot! When I tried to mount my switch in hardboard, I drilled a 3/4" hole with a forstner bit. Too small! I've got a 13/16" bit on order, this should do it. They work well, and they click solidly into place. I was a little disappointed that the red thing doesnt light up when they are switched on, but really this is no big deal. If you drill the right sized hole in a sheet of metal these will fit in there well, and they won't slip out accidentally or anything. Would recommend for low voltage + low current uses (most hobbies, if it is a switch that goes to a relay in a truck, etc).

Switches work well as advertised. Drilled hole and mounted in dash very secure. The LED light is up instead of down when on which seems backwards but they still do the job for a very low price so it is not a deal breaker.

I am using these switches in the dashboard of my boat. They work just fine, except for the fact that when the LEDs are connected the faces of the switches get so hot it will literally burn your finger when you go to turn them off. I thought about disconnecting the LEDs but that is kinda the point in having a lighted switch. I figured I'll just keep using them this way and if they work forever then fine. I used these for all my light bars etc on my jeep. Very easy to install and look pretty cool when lit up at night. I used a step drill for the holes and they fit perfectly. I believe they require a 3/4 hole. Nice clean finish to them. Inexpensive and I've had zero issues. Though they are not advertised for outdoor use, I used one on the outside of my camper for a spotlight. So far so good.
