These are very good lights and a great replacement for the old incandescent square tail lights I had on my old boat trailer. Since some reviews said these lights are not waterproof, I decided to be proactive. I used tin window sealer to seal the back and edges of these lights. This is a sticky, black, oil-based product used in new construction that you apply prior to installing windows. I cut out a layer of material and glued it to the back of the lantern, and also cut out a strip that went around the plastic seam of the lens. Hopefully this will prevent water from entering the lens. The LEDs are very bright and each light has 3 sets of LEDs. One for the parking light, one for the brake light and one for the turn signals. The way my truck was hooked up made it impossible for me to use all three sets individually, so I wired the brake and turn signals together. Either that or hooking up the turn signals to the high beam, which didn't make any sense to me. So basically the amber turn signals and brake lights work together, which is actually quite nice. The high beam headlights are the outer ring of light, so the amber bar and bright center lights come on when you turn on the turn signal and when you brake. I have a feeling a lot of people will need to adjust these since most wiring harnesses don't have separate power wires.
