Yes, it's just a piece of plastic. But it does what it's supposed to, great. Tuck it under the switch cover and it pops out! It is so easy. Seriously, if you need to replace the switch cover (I have 15 switches) it will greatly reduce installation time. It's a hard plastic, and if used properly (simply slide under the switch tabs until it pops out; don't pry), it will last forever. Don't think twice about buying this tool. It took me 10 minutes to replace the covers.
