They seem to be working fine. and I checked their thickness with vernier calipers. They appear to be identical to other 23 gauge pens. But in my (brand new) Makita 18V nailer they buckled in the magazine and jammed on every other attempt to fire and insert a pin. It is very tedious (and time consuming) to remove bent pins and pin fragments. On the contrary, later I bought a much more expensive Matabo 23 ga. Pens that work great. While I'm not able to measure reliably, I think the issue is stiffness. GREX pins bend easily after you pull them out of the wood. Metabo pens are significantly stiffer and significantly more rigid. Perhaps the stiffer Metabo pins will withstand the impact of the anvil better. But for some reason the Grex pins just didn't fit my particular nailer. (Makita 18V wireless)
