I was a little worried when I noticed that some of Irwin's other C-Clamps were getting bad reviews. But so far I haven't had any luck with these brackets. Until they got distorted and stayed true and straight. The double thread design is meant to help grip things tighter. I haven't noticed much improvement, but maybe that's because I'm comparing them to 8" yokes with the same neck spacing, rather than 3" yokes. And some people have complained about the slow thread adjustment. Maybe on the big C clamps, but at this size I didn't realize they were slower than the brand's adjustable clamps. When you look at this clamp it looks solid for its size and the color is nice to look at compared to the bare steel of other clamps. So far I have had only satisfactory results.
