Review on 🔩 Neiko 10193A Titanium Drill Set - 3 Piece by Wayne Girard

This Neiko 10193A Titanium Step Drill Set was a pleasant surprise! It was about 4 times cheaper than similar sets from better known brands in a big store but was great for my needs. I haven't tried the smaller two drill bits, but I used the largest step drill bit to drill ten 3/4" diameter holes in 1/2" thick stainless steel flat bar to make base plates for my boat's outboard mount. In combination with the use of a good cutting fluid and a low drilling speed (250 rpm) they cut metal evenly and give very nice holes. Due to the design of the drill, even the edges of the holes have been beveled nicely by simply lowering the drill a little deeper until the next step of increasing the cutting size. Since the steel was half an inch thick, I had to flip the bar to drill from the back to complete each hole since the 3/4" pitch depth is less than 1/2". never mind Works perfectly! For occasional or one-off use like this, they are PERFECT! You save a fortune and they cut great. I haven't tried any of the more expensive brands, but I don't think they cut much better - certainly not four times better to justify their cost. If I had to drill a lot of holes in heavy materials I would probably buy several of these sets.
