Review on 🔥 First Alert PR710: Slim Photoelectric Smoke Alarm with 10-Year Sealed Battery – Enhanced Safety and Longevity by Fuzzhead Nelson

I bought a couple of these after reading reviews of many detectors. There doesn't seem to be a detector without complaints that it doesn't work. Of course, they regularly sound the alarm and then stop by themselves. I have no idea if they really work. The fact that they sound the alarm indiscriminately and then stop without explanation makes me nervous. I would replace them but since every detector has bad reviews I don't know what to replace them with. I wonder if any of them actually work. Updated March 2016: I had to wait 38 minutes but as soon as I was through they sent me a new detector to replace the one that continues to work without charging me for shipping or requiring me to send the old one back . Much happier. I really hope they work. Updated September 2016: Another failed. This started chirping in a way that (according to the label on the alarm clock) indicates that the alarm clock had reached the end of its 10 year lifespan. The production date of the alarm clock is May 2015, so the alarm clock is only 18 months old. Updated September 2019: 2 more failed - dead batteries. 4 failures on 6 of them (some bought from OH) in less than 3 years. Rating changed to 1 star instead of 2.
