I use this controller in a lab to keep a water bath boiling. The controller has proven itself very well for this. The high and low set points allow for minimal clipping, basically watch your input and adjust the set point on the fly to suit your control range. Once set up, the device did a great job. As is usual with these devices, the instruction manual wasn't very well written, but reasonably clear and overall helpful. The big downside for me was that the temp sensor seems to be built in so it can't be replaced with a new one if it's damaged. I had expected a replaceable sensor for the temperature range of this device, so that the entire device would not have to be replaced if the temperature sensor failed. As far as I can tell, this device only reads in degrees F - I couldn't find a way to read it in degrees C. Neither of these complaints were a deal breaker for me, but would be a nice upgrade. A solid device for the price. If you're trying to run a higher powered device at higher temperatures (200F+) then you're probably considering this device as there aren't many other options at this price point (at least with Revain). It's worth the price for what it can do, but I'd like to see an interchangeable probe and a Class C option. The interchangeable probe alone would make this device 5 stars for me.
