As our family grows, we have about a dozen mattress pads. Our babies (twins) have mostly outgrown crying ad nauseam but mattress pads are still needed. Our other son is 5 years old and we have been using mattress pads for him since he was 2 years old so this is a good investment that will last for years. He wears a diaper at night, but wakes up about 1/3 of the time in wet pajamas. In terms of quality, this Bedecor case is a bit thicker than some of the others we own. I have no complaints yet. With all mattress pads, it's difficult to tell the long side from the wide side, so some kind of marker might help.
