Benefits: • Use for weed control - great job - lots of flame and heat! • The 12ft hose is a real plus for covering large areas without having to move the tank frequently. • The valve and handle feel really solid and look high quality. • The control knob (control valve) can easily be adjusted to the flame size and works very smoothly. Cons: • I would like the tube to be 8 or 10 inches longer from the handle to the burner head so I don't have to bend down - I think it would be easier on my back. But with a good pilot flame, excellent performance (heat), longer hose and build quality. well done, so I still give 5 stars. When I first used it I thought the lever valve (safety trigger) wouldn't work because pressing it didn't affect the size of the flame. But I finally figured out that I hadn't opened the control valve enough, so the flame was just a regular sized pilot with or without lever depressing. So I opened the control valve wider and got a lot more power to burn the weeds with the lever pulled - I didn't know how much heat they could put out. So make sure you turn the control valve knob so that the "-" mark is at least in the 12 o'clock position to increase the heat beyond the size of the pilot flame when the lever is depressed and it gives *much* more power beyond that control. Adjusting the valve to burn weed faster and compensate for the lower pressure in the tank when the tank starts to empty.
