This was definitely an upgrade from Yamaha's factory clutch spring. After adjusting, I was told that the clutch began to slip in 3rd and 4th gears and the store asked for $1200 to replace the clutch. After a little checking of the symptoms I found that the clutch spring was the most common culprit and that was a major improvement over the OEM. The price was right, so I decided to start there. That was 3 years ago and we haven't had any problems with the clutch since. Keep in mind that this is a reinforced spring so the clutch pull is more than normal, but you get used to it after a few rides. I suggest setting the brake lights to neutral just to prevent hand fatigue.
