Last year I read about SSDs and patiently waited for the price to drop. Although the price of this item is nowhere near the cost of a standard hard drive, I had to buy one. My boot time is 1/5th of what it used to be and now I don't have to worry about destroying my hard drive when I move my laptop. Pros: QUIET operation Low power consumption FAST FAST boot timeUSB interface if you want to use it as a portable hard drive Cons: Cost per gig I can't afford to buy another one, I need more money =P
