If you know drill materials and metal hardness then this set is suitable for home use. and aluminum (not an alloy). For the home user, this set is fine as it probably won't be used intensively or in a production environment. Other than that it's fine and worth the asking price if you treat it with respect. Respect = Keep them in their original packaging, do not use them to cut high carbon steel such as stainless steel or hardened steel such as bed frames/spring steel. The bottom line is that this set sells for the price of a cheap brand step drill. Keep that in mind, otherwise you might destroy them the first time you use them. You can cut soft non-ferrous steel at around 1,000 rpm, preferably on a drill press but not necessarily. If you need more speed, the project material is uncolored mild steel.
