Review on Fuzion Digital Kitchen Jewelry Scales by Zack Higgins

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Works well for coffee without a timer. Buy this instead of the more expensive, less accurate OXO

Cheap and stable. Overall I'm quite happy with it. I originally bought the OXO for about $45. This OXO was annoying. Slow registration, even adding coffee will not register a new weight unless you remove the container and place it back on the platform several times. The same object could differ by several (perhaps up to 5) tenths of a gram at different weighings, which annoyed me. These scales have none of these problems. I've only been using them for a few months. Hundredth of a gram version. At this point, this equates to approximately 0.01 or 0.02g (compared to an inaccurate OXO level of 0.1g). I don't calibrate it so I'm not sure how accurate it is, but it is accurate (the latter meaning it almost always registers the same weight for the same item). I only use it to measure coffee beans and ground coffee. Not for timing coffee or weighing other things. For my purposes, this works very well and is cheap. My version only lasts up to 500g, which is fine with me. I don't know about durability, although it would be cheap to just buy another one if you had a problem. Other things to note: The auto shut off is sometimes too short for my use (if I leave coffee grinding and forget to use it for too long the scale turns off. Problem is I lose my tare.) Not waterproof. Doesn't look as pretty as other coffee scales like OXO or Acaia.
