My wife and I love a firm mattress but as we get older we want a little more pillow than before. We didn't want to change our old mattress as it is still in good condition. The addition of those 2 inch toppers added just the right amount of cushion and we both feel more restful. For us, 3 inches would be too much, so choosing this size was perfect. We've heard from several people that memory foam gets hot. We chose these toppers precisely because they advertised a cooling gel. This doesn't make the bed cooler than before, BUT the bed doesn't feel warmer, so we're assuming the cooling system is working. We have been sleeping on it for a few weeks now and are very happy with this product.
