Review on 🐠 SONGWAY 5-in-1 Aquarium Plant Tool Kit: Straight & Curved Scissors, Substrate Spatula, Tweezers - Essential Tools for Aquarium Aquatic Plants with Case by Alicia Taylor

Good value for money.

There are many similar kits at Revain, and almost every one of them has customer questions about the case. I want to say right away that the case in this set is excellent. It consists of three layers: leather-look PVA on top, hard cardboard in the middle and felt on the inside. You can't stab with scissors. Could use it as a clutch. It has an extra slot for an extra tool you might have. I bought this set for the tool tray. I don't know how to put things in their place and this wonderful case is worthless to me. The tool tray is very convenient. It can be placed on a vertical surface, e.g. B. without aquarium wall edge, or attached to the side of a vertical surface. I drilled 2 holes in the aquarium stand door and used the screws provided. I used #10 washers (not included) for the screws. The stand is stable and does not wobble. Has 2 additional slots. Fine. Unfortunately I wasn't impressed with the tools themselves as I was impressed with the case and tool stand. I have Fluval, API, and Mandala scissors that are sold individually (API scissors are my favorites). The tools in this set are not as good as the other tools I have because they are made of lighter and softer steel. I definitely prefer heavier and stronger (and more expensive) instruments. But I'm comparing apples to oranges here because the tools I mentioned are in a completely different price range. Unfortunately, I have no comparison with a similarly expensive set. On the positive side, the tools don't rust. I don't wipe them (the expensive mandala scissors got rusty overnight after the first use because I didn't wipe them). Scissors cut, spatula smooths gravel. The tweezers didn't hold the plants well at first because their legs were absolutely straight. I bent the legs of the tweezers a bit to make a thin oval and now it works properly. All in one, good value for money.
