Review on Charcoal grill Weber Compact Kettle, 56x47x89 cm by Barbara Cholewa ᠌

Revainrating 3 out of 5

Average purchase, there are some things to complain about.

I have 2 weber grills (this one and a classic kettle), so I will compare these models and point out important nuances. The main difference is the way the legs are attached - in compact it is not very successful. the legs are bolted from the inside of the bowl, and in the older model they are simply fixed on the outside of the cast bowl, which is a more reliable and stable connection. The built-in thermometer is also very much missing. it is very easy to preheat the grill to temperatures above 250 degrees, or vice versa, underdone the coals and fry at 150 degrees. Well, the third point is the shutter from below, which is again very convenient in the classic kettle and completely primitive in the compact kettle. In the compact, it cannot be touched with bare hands, as it gets very hot, but more importantly, in the classic kettle, it also performs the role of cleaning the bottom of the grill from the corner. I use the classic much more often and it is completely clean inside, since all the ash falls in the bowl, and the compact has to be cleaned by hand more often, which is all laborious and marco. The difference in price is much lower than those chips that are in the classc kettle, so I recommend overpaying and taking a model with a higher class.

Pros
  • Good quality and compact
Cons
  • The simplest model in the hierarchy of Weber charcoal grills, read the comment below
