Review on πŸ”§ Optimize your workload mobility with the Heavy Duty Universal Mobile Base BORA Portamate PM-2500 – Ideal for Effortlessly Mobilizing Large Tools, Machines, and More by Mike Swanson

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Excellent even at 800lbs, but rear swivel wheels can be used for better manoeuvrability.

The table saw I have (Unisaw 5HP) weighs 650 pounds so I went with the heavy PM2500 which is listed at 650 pounds. I didn't use them as intended and made my own base to support the wide table extension, about 6ft wide, and attached Borat wheel assemblies to my custom base, ditching the Borat metal supports entirely. The front struts are a great feature for setting the right height for easy lifting and providing a secure hold on release without slipping. The foot pedals snap easily for lifting and make a loud click when released due to the heavy weight. With each of the front levers engaged the entire mobile base moves easily, however as the rear wheel is unidirectional it just likes to move back and forth but with some manual control it can be maneuvered sideways. I've added crates and with their contents it's probably around 800lbs but the Bora wheels work fine. The design of all 4 wheels is such that they are attached to a heavy metal corner which supports the entire weight of the wheels and allows this weight to be distributed over the base. One improvement the Bora system could have made was to provide pivoting rear wheels to make the whole system more manoeuvrable.
