Okay, here's the thing. If you read all these reviews, you'll see that as of Spring 2014, they got terrible reviews. I bought one anyway. The problem everyone has is the 1/2" to 3/4" garden hose fitting breaking. In my opinion, in the machine shop that cut these fittings for them, the teeth were cut too deep, leaving minimal "meat", and when tightened into the body, they broke. Mine did the same. 1 call and email photo to Valterra and I have a new one on the way for free. They are aware of the defect and their new ones were made correctly. If that's not fast enough for you, the defective part is only $5 on Ace hardware. I'm giving 5 stars because the controller works as intended and some of the hardware I can buy locally is out of order. Not the end of the world.
