Much better than 45psi fixed regulators

This is my second Valterra regulator, the previous one lasted almost a year. Well made and easy to install. As a permanent resident and frequent traveler, an adjustable water regulator "in the motorhomeโ€ ensures significantly better water pressure, especially in the shower. Different campsites have different water pressures and being able to adjust the water pressure more or less accordingly is a very useful feature. Modern motorhomes can safely handle the higher water pressure allowed by 45psi

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Poorly thought out

Okay, here's the thing. If you read all these reviews, you'll see that as of Spring 2014, they got terrible reviews. I bought one anyway. The problem everyone has is the 1/2" to 3/4" garden hose fitting breaking. In my opinion, in the machine shop that cut these fittings for them, the teeth were cut too deep, leaving minimal "meat", and when tightened into the body, they broke. Mine did the same. 1 call and email photo to Valterra and I have a new one on the way for free. They are aware of theโ€ฆ

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Long delivery time

Stay away from this one

Complete junk! I booked one of these because I'm hosting a camp at an RV park where the water pressure is up to 110psi. This is not safe for any RV installation. I've tried $10 non-adjustable regulators and their flow rate is only around 6-9 gpm while this unit should be in the 14-15 gpm range. On cheap units, the shower is pretty weak. That was a lot better while it lasted! That's the problem. Everything was fine the first time it was installed. After 2-3 days he (she, I tried 3 of them)โ€ฆ

Pros
  • Sleek design
Cons
  • Not sure

Life changing for water hoses and fittings

Our family lived in an RV for 2 years and was constantly on the move. We just used cheap non-adjustable standard controls. We always had weak water pressure that leaked. We assumed that this was a necessary effect when using a pressure regulator in a motor home. Sometimes upgrading our unit's basement water filter has reduced the pressure even further. Combined with the filter in our unit's refrigerator, trying to fill my coffee pot each morning became a time-wasting nightmare. The toilet sealโ€ฆ

Validates all fields

I bought this a while ago, I have used it several times with excellent results. It consists of a liquid-filled sensor which, as mentioned, does not fill with water after use. in some reviews. Gauges tend to be precision instruments, they will stand up to some use and handling, but not much or constant abuse. This tool is well made and works as it should. There is no reason to permanently or re-hire. Before operating, flush it for 10-20 seconds, close the service-side supply with a stopperโ€ฆ

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • Communication with the seller
