I bought this a while ago, I have used it several times with excellent results. It consists of a liquid-filled sensor which, as mentioned, does not fill with water after use. in some reviews. Gauges tend to be precision instruments, they will stand up to some use and handling, but not much or constant abuse. This tool is well made and works as it should. There is no reason to permanently or re-hire. Before operating, flush it for 10-20 seconds, close the service-side supply with a stopper, valve or even a kinked hose, set the desired pressure and enjoy peace of mind knowing you know your gear. protected against overpressure, which is what this manometer is used for. I also rarely find products that I give five stars. Delivery was on time, product well made, works as intended, price was reasonable, user friendly with no extra frills that detracts from the intended purpose or usability. Tick all the boxes for a five star rating. As a mean old bastard, I'm looking for reasons to remove the star ratings. I'm disappointed. I can and would recommend this product to a friend without hesitation. To update. It has been in operation for over a year since I gave it five stars (grr), can't change the number of stars, it corresponds to reasonable handling. It has held the 40psi setting since initial adjustment. I was recently hooked up to a very high water pressure, when I moved in a pressure reducer was even strongly recommended. I flush my filters and hoses before connecting, this was the highest pressure I have ever experienced, the regulator held up to the set pressure point
