I had a very old USB device for network servers/ethernet adapters called AnyWhere USB. This is a fabulous replacement. It was easy to install, came with good software (you need to download it) and setup. So unless you're a techie you might need a friend's help to set it up, but it's worth it. It had 1 feature/quirk that wasn't written down as far as I could tell, but once you know you'll love it. The quirky feature is that after you use the connected USB device from your networked computer, it will "SHARE" the USB device to allow any other computer on the network to access it. Otherwise no one can access it.
