I've been having some intense disc issues that affect my lower back and leg. I have to wear a brace, which helps to keep my core straight so I don't slouch and cause further pain. This brace is a good length and I like the fact that you can adjust it as needed. I'm currently expecting, so pretty soon I'll be replacing this with a maternity belt, but I'm already showing so the stretch of this band has been quite helpful. It has what is advertised as a cooling effect. I think it's because it's not just a thick piece of fabric, but it has slots or openings all over that allow air to flow. So it doesn't have anything that actually makes it "cool", unless I'm missing something. The only thing is that sitting down with this, which is what I do most of the day for my job, is a little uncomfortable. This doesn't exactly bend, so that part is a bummer. I have to take it off. Maybe if I had a longer torso it would work? Anyway, besides that, this is a good choice for a back brace.
