Review on MICHELIN Latitude Cross 235/60 R16 104H summer by Jnis Ginters ᠌

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Very high quality product, it's not the first time I bought it.

previously wrote my first impressions of this rubber. now it has been run-in time and road distance, which allows me to convey to you my new impressions. So, a VW Tuareg 2.5 TDI car: - 3700 km. to the sea and back, on various roads (asphalt, broken asphalt, federal highway, mountain serpentine, mountain rocky road, primer) rubber proved to be excellent. the behavior of the car is informative, predictable. Serpentine, speed 20-40 km / h, sharp turns, ups and downs - a clear reaction to the steering wheel, no drifts. Rocky mountain road - bumps are very strongly transmitted to the suspension, the surface of the tire does not tear (if not gasped), there are no hernias, it clings very confidently, it slips moderately from stones. The primer after the rain, broken track, damp grass - behaves confidently, goes without slipping at low speeds, never got stuck, sliding on hillocks is controlled. After washing, on a flat road, it quickly clears itself at speed. Curb parking is no problem. Behavior in a deep puddle, flooded rut - keeps the road, did not catch aquaplaning, because. did not drown more than 80 km / h. In total, I drove about 5500 km on this rubber, the impression is very positive. However, I want to remind you that these tires are not 100% road tires and hence there is noticeable noise, even on flat pavement. Wear is moderate. With the tasks set by me, this rubber copes completely. And finally, I will say this - there is nothing perfect in this world. Tires are great but expensive.

Pros
  • strong sidewall, excellent tread, behaves reliably on moderate off-road (I didn’t climb up to my belly in very strong mud)
Cons
  • noisy, dear.
