Review on π₯ SL1414S Smoke 14x14 Skylight Dome for Specialty Recreation - Enhanced SEO by Andrew Dinelli
Failed (cracked) in less than 4 months.
It did not withstand thermal expansion and contraction. Cracks formed in three different holes in the flanges and radiated towards the dome and then began to leak as the rainy season set in. Installed July 2020. Bug discovered November 2020. Used butyl tape under the flange and tried not to overtighten the hardware (not included). Disappointed.
- When choosing a skylight, measure the rough opening as well as the overall outside dimensions; The Forced Seal Sealing Tape is tight and waterproof
- Almost everything is fine
