I've had it for about a month. First let me say that the sling is a good size and well made, but it costs more than other slings of similar size and quality. I also didn't feel that the combination of diamond paste and leather strap worked well together. I applied the paste to the rough side of the sling and spread it out as per the instructions but found that once dry the paste clogged the sling turning it into a hard surface. I have tried removing it with mineral oil as instructed but it has not softened the skin at all and does not appear to be effective in removing the paste and restoring the surface. I'll try to remove the wire brush next to it to remove the paste. Some might have better luck with the paste on the smooth side, but I can't recommend it on the rough side. The instructions say you can apply the paste to either side. The bottom line for me after owning this sling for a while is that it is overpriced compared to other reversible paddle slings of similar size and quality and the included abrasive paste is not the optimal abrasive for a leather paddle sling so it doesn't meet my expectations. Your experience may vary.
