This is a very good passive preamp for the price. Sturdy construction, nice big volume knob and silky smooth knobs! The chassis is very strong, but also quite small and light. It's not really a criticism: it's exactly what you would expect. However, with very rigid RCA cables, like the Monster cables I use, the preamp can pull under the weight of the cables and isn't very strong on a flat surface. I fixed this by applying assembly putty under the legs to hold them firmly in place. Overall I am very impressed and satisfied with this product. Highly recommended.
