This product comes with clear (and correct) instructions inside the box and flip top lid. It also came with a 9V battery already installed and two mounting screws. This remote will only work with openers that have a yellow "learn" button. Press and release the yellow button. A small indicator lights up for 30 seconds. During these 30 seconds, enter the 4-digit code on the keyboard and press Enter. The garage door light will flash to let you know it worked. By the way, the keyboard makes it easy to close the garage door by just pressing "Enter". My wife cycles to work which is very convenient in the morning but even more convenient when she comes home in the evening because she doesn't have to look for her keys.
