Review on Youngtown 12888 Sweep Silent Clock Movement Mechanism with Small Hands - Shaft Length 13.5mm - Thread Length 5.5mm by Carlos Alston

Had trouble pushing the hands into position without damaging the mechanism with both the original and replacement units. The first makes a piercing sound, possibly due to the tip of the second hand rubbing against the inside of the clear plastic cover. I disassembled it and corrected it by slightly bending the tip of the second dart, but the darts were dead on reassembly. Suspected pressure from hand reinsertion damaged the internal bearings. The replacement unit is quiet and works great. So be careful with it and it might work well for you too.
