These swabs have less cotton on them than the store brand that I usually buy, but they are of a good quality. The cotton is tightly wound, and doesn't easily come loose when wet or when used for scrubbing, although the cotton doesn't absorb as much as I expect a swab to. The sticks are very sturdy and not prone to easily bending, and these are great for cleaning around my nail beds or correcting a small makeup mistake.
