Must use with the 3W LED Cips
My original grow light was constructed without these mounting plates and the LEDs failed after about 100 - 150 hours. Without the plates the chips will start to draw excessive current and eventually burn up. I mounted 4 plates to a sheet of aluminum using ArcticAluminum thermal epoxy then installed the LEDs. It was a simple matter to wire the plates together with buss wire. I stuck some captan insulating tape under the wires just in case. With the LEDs on the plate the temp is around 28C just warm to the touch.
